Privacy policy

Kykloz is a private space for professional circles. This page explains, in plain words, what we collect, why we collect it, who helps us run the service, and what you can do about it.

1. What we collect

  • From LinkedIn when you sign in: your name, profile photo, email address and your LinkedIn account ID. We never post to LinkedIn, read your LinkedIn messages or see your connections.
  • What you add to your profile: headline, skills, current company and position, about me, experience, hobbies, availability and, if you choose, a résumé.
  • What you share: messages, reactions, files, images and GIFs you post in circles and direct chats, and reports you send.
  • Explainers you ask for: the topic you type and the video that is made for it.
  • Basic technical data: when you were last active, your approximate country, and security events. Where we keep an IP address for security, we store only a one-way code made from it, not the address itself.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form.

2. Why we use it

  • To sign you in and keep your account safe.
  • To show your profile, circles and messages to the people you share them with.
  • To run features you ask for, such as KyK AI answers and Explain videos.
  • To keep the community safe: review reports, stop spam and investigate abuse.
  • To answer you when you contact us.

We do not sell your data and we do not show you ads.

3. Who can see what

  • Messages in a circle are visible to that circle's approved members. Direct messages are visible to the people in that chat.
  • Your profile is visible to other members unless you set it to private. You choose who can see your presence and your résumé.
  • Your chats with KyK AI are visible only to you.
  • Kykloz administrators can see a message when it has been reported, so they can review it.

4. Services that help us run Kykloz

  • Amazon Web Services hosts the app, the database and uploaded files. The app and database run in the AWS Mumbai region in India.
  • LinkedIn handles sign in.
  • OpenAI receives the text needed to answer when you ask KyK AI something, and the topic when you ask for an explainer.
  • ElevenLabs turns an explainer's script into a voice.
  • GIPHY receives the words you type when you search for a GIF.

These providers use the data only to provide their service to us.

5. Cookies

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app also keeps some chats and unsent drafts in your browser so it opens quickly; logging out clears them.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, messages and files, except for anything we must keep for a short time to deal with abuse or a legal requirement.

7. Security

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS and our disks are encrypted. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted: they are stored on our servers so that circle members can read the history. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not share passwords or highly sensitive personal data in chats.

8. Your choices and rights

  • See and correct your profile at any time in Settings.
  • Change who can see your profile, presence and résumé.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account to be deleted, through the contact form.

9. Age

Kykloz is a professional network for people aged 18 and over.
